Podwise vs NotebookLM, side by side.

NotebookLM — now Gemini Notebook — turns the sources you upload into summaries, mind maps and answers. Podwise starts from the shows you already follow, so the notes arrive without a notebook to fill. Every fact below comes from each product's own pages.

Which one fits

One is a general research notebook; the other is a podcast library that does the reading for you.

Podwise vs NotebookLM questions

It says NotebookLM was renamed. Which name is right?

Google renamed NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook in July 2026. The product and its notebooks are the same; we keep the NotebookLM name here because that is what most people search for.

Can I use both?

Yes, and they do different jobs. Podwise follows your shows and turns each episode into notes; NotebookLM is where you can take a set of sources, including those notes, and research across them.

Does Podwise upload my episodes to NotebookLM?

No. Podwise exports Markdown, which you can add to a notebook as a source, along with its summary and transcript.
