Information we collect
- Account information. Your name and email. Signing in with Google or Apple adds profile details such as your picture. Most people sign in with Google, Apple or a one-time code sent by email; a password is optional and is stored only as a hash, or not at all.
- Subscription and payment information. Your plan, subscription status and transaction records. Stripe or Apple processes payments; we don't receive or store full card numbers.
- Content you provide. Audio you upload, questions you ask about episodes, Clips and notes, and the podcasts and episodes you follow or save.
- Usage information. Podcasts you summarize, summaries generated, your preferences and the features you use.
- Device and log information. IP address, browser type, operating system and app versions, and request times, used to run, secure and troubleshoot the Services.
- Cookie and analytics information. Collected through cookies on our websites; see Cookies and analytics.
- Public podcast audio. We may briefly access a public episode's audio to create its transcript and summary. We keep no copy of the original audio, but may keep transcripts and generated results.
- Uploaded audio. Stored to provide transcription and related features. You can delete these files from your account.

Cookies and analytics
- Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember your preferences.
- Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity record pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, device and browser type, and approximate location from your IP address. They load and set cookies only after you consent.
- If you arrive through a partner's referral link, a referral cookie lasts up to 30 days so the partner can be credited for a subscription.
- Accept or decline analytics in the cookie banner, and change your choice any time with Cookie Preferences in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops these tools and removes their cookies.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Declining analytics doesn't affect how the Services work.
- These analytics tools run only on our websites, not in AI assistant integrations.
AI assistant integrations
- You connect through the ChatGPT plugin or the MCP server by signing in and explicitly authorizing access.
- The integration never asks for passwords, one-time codes, API keys or card details.
- We receive only what the assistant sends to a Podwise tool, such as search terms, the podcasts or episodes you refer to, your questions, Clips to create and uploads you choose. We don't receive the rest of the conversation.
- We use those inputs only to carry out the action, return results and update your account, never for advertising or behavioral profiling.
- Results include your account content and relevant public podcast content; the assistant provider then handles them under its own policy.
- Content saved through an integration follows the same retention rules as content you add directly.
- Disconnect any time in the assistant's settings to revoke access.
- Don't send card details, health information, government IDs, passwords or other secrets through an integration; Podwise doesn't need them.
Data retention
| Data | How long we keep it |
|---|---|

| Original public podcast audio | Not kept |
| Transcripts and generated results | May be kept; they are not personal information |
| Referral cookie | 30 days |
| Google Analytics cookies | Up to 2 years, unless you withdraw consent or delete them |
| Microsoft Clarity cookies | Up to 1 year, unless you withdraw consent or delete them |
| Transaction records held by payment processors | As financial and tax laws require, under their own policies |

Podcast owner requests
Podcast owners and their authorized representatives can ask us to stop processing a podcast or specific episodes. Email support@podwise.ai and name the podcast or episodes; we may ask for information that confirms your authority before we apply the restriction.
Our commitment to security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures, store data in secured facilities and encrypt data in transit. No method of transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee the security of all information sent to us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to comply with the law and to reflect improvements to the Services. Please check it from time to time.
